Hello. It’s me, Sarah.

For more than twenty years, my creative career lived largely in a commercial capacity, while my personal reflections were tucked away in the pages of my journal. I wrote marketing campaigns for corporate America and supported the nonprofit world, writing grant proposals and sponsorship initiatives to fund critical medical research for a global T1D organization.

Along the way, I designed charity galas and fundraising walks, produced immersive brand experiences for global tech companies, and transformed blank rooms and tradeshow floors into meaningful gatherings. From marketing to fundraising to event design, I was fortunate to build not just a career, but a creative life.

Though the mediums varied - words, spaces, strategy, florals, spreadsheets, and messaging - one thread remained constant: storytelling.

Story connects brands to people.
Story brings life-saving research into human focus.
Story shapes a room and builds an experience.
Story helps people feel seen.
Story connects us all.

Over time, I’ve come to believe that creativity isn’t confined to a canvas or a page. It is a way of living. A way of seeing possibility in an empty room, a blank screen, or an unwritten chapter. It’s the courage to imagine something that doesn’t yet exist and then bring it to life with intention and heart.

The creative process is rarely linear, but it is always revealing. Art has taught me to trust my instincts. To follow an idea before I know exactly where it will lead. To explore what is possible rather than stay within what feels safe. In making something new, we often discover something true about ourselves.

And I discovered that even though life reshaped my story over and over again, living a bold life is worth the adventure and love is always worth the risk.

As motherhood, love, loss, and reinvention unfolded, so did my voice. I began writing the stories I once searched for, stories about courage, belonging, resilience, and becoming. Stories my daughter and I needed when life shifted for us. Stories that remind children (and adults) that they are braver than they know, and that goodness is always present, if we pause long enough to notice.

Today, my storytelling lives beyond the boardroom and the ballroom, and my life expanded far beyond the struggles of a working, single mom.  Now, I’m a kid’s lit author and the creative director of my life. Together with our blended family of five, my husband and I are co-authoring a life rooted in creativity and purpose.

I am currently working on my next children’s book, continuing to explore the magic and messiness of growing up, at any age. I’m also deep in the pages of my memoir that, at times, reads like fiction. Proof that real life can be just as unexpected, layered, and luminous.

With another story in the works, my commitment remains the same: to raise kind humans, to love deeply, to embrace the artist’s way, and to create spaces and books that encourage others to take risks, feel seen and remain hopeful.

My hope is that by sharing my story, I create space for others to share theirs too. It’s never too late to become who you were meant to be. Take the adventure and create your own happily ever after.

Remember, we are not alone in our becoming. I’m so grateful you’re here for the journey.

With love,
Sarah
